Private Wilderness Experiences in Scotland

Join us as we travel through the seasons exploring the rituals and customs that rooted our ancestors to Nature and the plants that sustained them.

This is a full day spent outdoors (minimum 6 hours) where you will get the opportunity to learn new skills with Vicky on hand to guide you.

As standard, every session will include foraging, wildcrafting and cooking over a fire.

Other activities may include forest bathing, nature art, wild food preservation, ancestral fire lighting techniques, green woodworking, shelter building, mindfulness, meditation and fire circles.

All private sessions are tailored to the groups needs.

During our session you will learn;

How to forage for wild food, medicine and wild crafting materials safely and sustainably

Foraging and the law

About how to identify a wide variety of wild plants

About how to make wild teas, infusions and tinctures

About how to cook a meal on an open fire

How to connect with the Earth on a deeper, more meaningful level

Notes

            The walk will be slow paced but uphill in some areas and maybe over fields, through woodland and along muddy paths.  Please wear sturdy shoes or boots and we highly recommend keeping your legs covered to protect against Nettles, jaggy Brambles and most importantly Ticks.

A waterproof jacket and leggings are highly advisable.  We will be kneeling and sitting on the ground and this will keep you dry.

Some folk like to bring a blanket or shawl to wrap themselves in when we are sitting in fire circles and for some forest bathing activities.

You may want to bring along something to put some foraged finds into and perhaps a notebook/journal and camera to record what you find.  You will receive an email afterwards detailing all of the plants we meet.

Please bring along water and any snacks you may want in addition to the food served on the day.

Please make sure you bring a cup, plate, bowl and cutlery for your meal.
